Peru 2016 - Day 9: Visit with Pastor Sergio and relaxing.

Well, feeling better today.
Still sleep deprived, but feeling a bit more coherent. : )
Heard that our group made it home safely, but the Toronto transfer was a bit tight.
Thanks Colin for leading the sheep through the maze of Terminal 1.

We spent a relaxing day here at Pepe and Erin's.
Teya is SO CUTE, but she's going to be a handful as she grows up.  Can see that already.  : )

Here's Teya playing with Joycegina.

We went outside to get ready to go see Pastor Sergio and Felicitas and Genesis.

Hey, Katrina you are slightly taller than mom now I think.  : )
Pepe and Erin's new ish SUV
A blessing for them as they cart around people like us after trips.  : )

On our way.
That same cobblestone laneway I showed you before.

Going down to the ocean.

This looked interesting.

Underground parking with the green and red lights.
Thought my son would appreciate this.  : )

We are parked.  : )

And off to the meeting place.

There they are.

Time for hello hugs.

Hola Pastor Sergio.

This is the same mall we met Pastor Sergio in two years ago and purchased a computer bag for him.

Reminds me of Florida.

Walking to our restaurant.

The same one we went to yesterday, but a different location.

Sitting down to get acquainted.

Time to order.
hmmm, what will it be this time.

Genisis got to skip school today.
She was happy about that.  : )

Joycegina ordered Mango Juice.

Yummy.

Katrina had passion fruit.

A bit tart for her I think. : )

Time to order the food.

Pastor Sergio and Falicitas and Genesis ordered ice lemonade.

We started talking and then we gave some gifts to the family.

Nutella.
Genesis was VERY happy with that.
I told her she could only eat in small amounts otherwise she would get a tummy ache.  Hope that makes it last longer for her.

Genesis got a yo yo.

Pastor Sergio received an updated Canada T-Shirt.
He loved it.

Katrina received a beautiful purse.

And Joyegina (and I think me : ) ) received this beautiful painted plate.

Pastor Sergio received an computer from us to use any way he wanted to.

As well as funds for the school that came from Cornwall church to use any way he wants to.  This way the church and school are blessing the community, not Gringo's.

On behalf of our team, we also gave his family some money as a blessing for his family to use in any way they wanted to.

As the food was being prepared we got down to talking and sharing.
I talked with Pastor Sergio about discipling new Christians.
SIDE NOTE: about 8 people received Christ during our market evangelism.  Neat.
And making sure the women's Bible study will continue after we are gone. They will be making honest efforts.

Katrina ordered some interesting things.
There was chopped octopus and salmon and crab.  She was daring.

The food has arrived.

It was very good.

A final picture before we say farewell.
I will miss Pastor Sergio.
He is an amazing man.
Funny, hard working, visionary, and listens and obey's God.

Ontario bag.

Time to go back home.

So Joycegina and Katrina and Erin could go out shopping.

Time to relax with Teya the father way. : )

Having fun.

 Cute

I wanted to go to bed, but as you can see, Teya has warmed up to me and wanted me to sit beside her.  How can one refuse that cute face.  : )

After a good nap, we went out for dinner.

A view from the apartment at night.

 Erin and Pepe's office.
Lots of discussions about trips and logistics happen in this spot.

The product of shopping.
Katrina looks nice.

Taxi time.

No, we are not going here to eat.

Arriving at our destination.
One of the FEW dogs we have seen in this area of Lima.

Here we are.

A nice place to sit and relax.

Good fellowship tonight.
We love Erin and Pepe.

 And GOOD food.
A Delicious steak.

Yes Peter, I also ate my veggies.

More steak for Pepe and Erin.

And Salmon for Joycegina.

And Katrina had Chicken Cordon Bleu

Time to dig in.

The chicken was AMAZING.  : )
We talked for a long time and before we knew it it was time to return home and off to bed.
Still tired.
Today we visit Keysi and Fernando at their compassion site.

Blog post to come on Thursday...maybe. : )
