Day 6 - Part 2: Fountains and Sunday morning

We continue with yesterday.

Dinner time with our team.

Delicious soup once again.

And delicious spaghetti and meat sauce and garlic bread.

After supper most, but not all, of the group travelled to the fountains.

Dianne getting a bit zen : )

The fountains are always lovely.

Kendra and Katrina.

Now we can see them.

Katrina and Gigi.

It's a beautiful place

Even a small train for the children.

Some fountain shots.

Drinking it all in. : )

The main fountains where the laser show happens.

Awe

New lights.

The walk through fountain.

We went to the fountains on a Saturday this time and it was VERY busy.

The laser light show.

Taking it in.

And we ended with the water fountains you can walk in.

Not everyone went in.
Gigi said she would go in this time.
Apparently she has never actually gone into the fountains.

We love them.

Very refreshing and fun.

So, where did Gigi go?

We looked and looked.

Had fun as we looked.

But she was hiding somewhere.

Loads of fun as the fountains erupt at unexpected times.

Still looking for that Gigi girl.

hmmmmmmmm

George scanning the area, but to no avail.

We finally found her.
Well, more correctly she found us.
George and I made sure she took part in the water experience.  : )

I think she had water in her ears, eyes, and nose. : )

It was worth the wait eh George. : )

Time to dry off.

Such a great time.
Gigi finally forgave us the next day.  : )

Group shot.
We arrived back at 9:30 pm and went to bed.

Today (Sunday) was a day to sleep in.
Breakfast was at 9 a.m.
Some woke up way earlier : )
Some didn't.

Some took the time to read the blog.

And Annette and Ella are feeling better.  Yay!  : )

A view from the upper room.

We gathered at 8:30 to hear the comments from all of you back home.  THANK YOU to all of you who took the time to comment and encourage us.  Especially John B and Pastor Craig.  : )

Part of the comments from John was a request to give Annette a hug from all of the group.  So we did.

And we did.

And we did some more.

And more.

And MORE!
My my John, they took that request very seriously.
It was also requested for Ella, but hey, let's just say it didn't happen. : )

Chilin as we listened to the comments.

Breakfast once again.

Same fare again, but always good.

Our cook, Carlitos, runs a small chocolate making business and invited us to sample his wares and purchase any if we wished to.

They look delicious.

Several did sample and will purchase some.

We took the time to bless our cooks as well with compliments and prayer.

Cute family.

After breakfast we had our devotion and prayer time.
Colin wants to answer a question apparently.

Reflecting on our devotion time.
Always good discussions.

Some pens leaked in their container apparently.

As we were video blogging, the air-force came out in force.
They have been doing some sort of military exercises all morning. It's been LOUD, but cool. : )

Kendra and Joycegina swapping names and notes of people they have met in Gamaliel church.

Colin and I wore the soccer Jerseys from our first trip in 2006. And yes, I've been giving everyone cheek kisses, so Colin is getting me back.

Colin and I have been on every Learning Opportunity since 2006.  It's been a great journey with you Colin of Learning and growing and watching this relationship with Gamaliel church ebb and flow.

We now board our bus and head to Gamaliel church where we will meet with the youth group and the couples group and have church together and then share a meal together and our lives together.

More on that later..........................

Hi everyone,
Happy Sunday!
Ella and Mom, I'm sorry to hear that you guys were feeling sick. Unless it was a clever plan to avoid the fountain trip. I mean come on, you've seen one laser show in a cloud of fountain mist set to Spanish pop music, you've seen them all, am I right?

Ella, here are a couple of things to look forward to when you get home. Dad has greatly improved his latte art skills since you've left. Every morning we're seeing bridgehead level swirls in our coffees. In fact the change happened so drastically that I'm wondering if your presence was what was holding him back? Also, I just finished the Alex and Eliza book a few days ago and have been on a Hamilton kick ever since, I'm playing the soundtrack pretty much on repeat around here. Unfortunately it likely won't last much longer, I predict it ending right before you get home. :( sorry.

Ron: I have an idea for the blog. What if for tomorrow's post you titled it "It rains in Pachecutec" It will be really clever because it won't actually rain in the desert, but people might be crying which is like rain. Think about it.

Praying for all of you as you finish your time in Peru.
Lots of love,
Lucy

I am officially addicted to your blog. I read it even before my morning coffee. If I keep that up tomorrow, it'll mean I have to get up around 4:30 as it is back to school here in Canada!
We have been praying for healing for those of you not feeling well. So glad to hear that the Lord has answered those prayers!
Brenda, how incredible to meet with Margorie (sp?) and her family once again! What a blessing this relationship has been. I look forward to hearing more about your visit when you get home.
George and Dianne, nice to see that you have been able to sneak in special little times together. In case you haven't seen it, there's a beautiful picture of you two walking together on the sandy street towards the market. Want you to know that Opa is doing well; we shared our candy with him and he found every song this morning!
Sheldon, I shared my King peppermints with Jackie too. She liked that, until she looked at the expiry date. Who knew there was an expiry date on candy! It doesn't really matter if they expired in 2011, does it!? We ate them anyways.
And dinner at Gameliel tonight? What an experience that will be. I just love seeing and hearing of the love you all have for each other, for the people of Pachecutec and for the Lord. Keep up the great work of encouraging, sharing and experiencing God's love together.
Much love from Canada,
Marsha

Dear Friends:

In the spirit of march madness:
Thanks for the work on the blog. Really helps too keep the fans involved. Looking forward to more good shots tomorrow. I’m hoping you got Ella and Annette back into game. I’m sure they’ll rebound. The team needs them at crunch time. I hope you were all in a zone, with lots of assists today.

Please tell Ella: I hope all your swishes come true.
And please ask Annette to remember: there’s no “i” in team. But there is an “I” in I miss you.

Finish strong
See you Tuesday.
John
