The Big Give 2015

On Saturday, June 6th, Calvin particpated, along with 40 ish other church in the city of Ottawa, in what is called, 
The Big Give. 
The premise of this event is to bless the community surrounding your church, simply be giving things away. 
Yep, no strings attached...whatever we are offering, there's no money that changes hands.  

I wasn't actually around for the event (as you will see from earlier posts, I was camping with our youth group and I can't be in two places at once), but it was well in hand with Phil, Leanne, and Julie planning things.  : )

One thing we offered was free bike repair/tune ups.  

And there was card making.

We also had a prayer corner. 
There was a steady stream of people for the 3 hours.

All in all it was a wonderful day, from what I heard. 
A great party involving Calvin people and guests from our surrounding neighborhood. 
All good.  
Next year's Big Give will be June 4th...........  : )
