Dunamis Conference at Calvin CRC - April 2015

Back in April, Calvin hosted the Dunamis Project: A conference on the working of the Holy Spirit.  There were many in attendance from Calvin, as well as other Ottawa churches and beyond.

A nice group of people.

And with any conference, food is involved.
The Friendly Hands, under the guidance of Anne and Rita, did a GREAT job of serving, as usual.  : )

Rita, why the nasty face... I thought we were friends.  : )

Great food supplied, and that made for happy participants.

The conference takes many facets, one of which includes intercessors praying over the speakers and those present for protection.  This is a group of them getting ready to intercede.

Break time.  A time for good conversations about many different things.

We had wonderful speakers talk, in very humble ways, about how the Holy Spirit works.

And we had great food to help us digest what the speakers were talking about.

The buzz in the room was always electric as people shared their thoughts.

Mike and Melanie were our worship guests for the conference.  Gifted and a joy to have.

They are talented in many ways.

At many different times during the conference there was opportunity to pray.

In many different forms.

And worship was beautiful.

Sheila, one of our intercessors surrounding the group as discussions go on.

Intercessor meeting to talk about what God has placed on their hearts.

Break time.

Renewing old friendships.

I took care of the sound and video for the conference.

Each speaker was prayed for before they spoke.

There were times of prayer in small groups.

More great worship...

and group prayer time.

Intercessors.

Another prayer over our speaker.

There were some really neat testimonies from our speakers on how the H.S. has worked in their lives, as well as the lives of their churches.

Family prayer time.  : )

On the Wednesday evening there was a chance for people with various gifts to be prayed over.

This was such a rich and natural way to pray.

The room was electric with the power of the H.S.

Lots of people were touched in ways they didn't think they would be.

There seemed to be no time limit either.

More individual prayer took place as well.

On Thursday, our final day, we ended with communion and anointing with oil and prayers for each individual.

A rich and special time.
The pictures below speak for themselves.

It was a real gift having the Dunamis Conference here at Calvin.  Many lives were touched in ways we do not even know about.  To God be the Glory for the great things He has done!
