Classis Easter Canada Pastor's Gathering in Cornwall - May 2015

Every couple of years, the pastors from the Western side of Eastern Canada Classes (together with their spouses) have met for a retreat.  This past May we did that again.

We stayed at the NAV Conference Centre in Cornwall once again.  Did this several years ago as well.

Simple yet comfortable rooms.

Our meeting room.

Pastor Jack and Jane setting up the keyboard for our worship time.

People slowly arrived and the socializing begins.

Our group fully assembled.

Dan and Cheryl came with their newborn.
I don't think Dan or Cheryl saw much of him during our time together.  : )

Break time.

We get along pretty good as a group.

The food at the NAV Centre was very good.

We always intermingled at meal times.

Great fellowship over great food.

Our Speaker (forget her name) did an exercise using chains and how things in life can burden us.  God lifts our chains and sets us free from our burdens.

A powerful use of chains.

Worship time.

After hours socializing.  : )

We experienced a fire alarm during our time there...

And had to vacate the building.
We didn't leave very fast, however, and Dan was in the middle of changing a diaper.
Very inconvenient.  : )

We also got to taste chocolate.  : )

Sweet!!

Dan, Dan, Dan....  : )

We also used our senses to take a mint, horse radish (I think), bread and water.  The idea was to taste the goodness of God.  Taste is powerful and different for everyone.  God works differently in all our lives.

John and I relaxing and chatting.

Hey.........

In-between socializing.

On our final day we ended with worship and communion.

Ken led our communion time.

It was a great couple of days together.
I personally value these times as times to strengthen the relationships of our Pastor's, Youth Workers, and others in Classis who minister (and spouses of course).
Thanks to those who made this possible for all of us once again.  Your churches benefit from these times.  : )
