Classis Eastern Canada Fall Retreat @ Circle Square Ranch 2014 - Part 2

Welcome back.
We continue with Saturday at Circle Square Ranch.

In the Morning after the band and speaker, etc., we take some time to go outside and play some group games.

The weather held out and we started with a game called "gaga-ball".
A circle of sorts made of wood.
You get inside that circle as a group and they throw in a soccer ball.
The idea is to not get hit in the feet with the soccer ball.  If you do, you are out.  Last one standing wins.

No, William and Chris and Simon are not creating new dance moves.
They are trying to stay away from the soccer ball, but I'm not sure what William is staring at because the ball was bigger than his legs.  : )

Reuben hitting the ball at his opponents....which is pretty much everyone else.

Whew, close one.

Not too many left.

Coach Jonathan giving Chris some tips.

We selected the groups by grades.
Here's grade 9, and many of our group.  They don't look too excited to be inside that circle do they?  : )

Let the game begin.

Jonathan has interesting hair no matter what he's doing.
Just sayin'.

Hmmmm, not sure if you can climb out of the circle to stay away from the ball.
Have to check the rule book on that one...or with coach Jonathan.

Simon avoids being hit in the feet.
So agile.  : )

Another grade, another round.

Joe and I looking on.
Wondering when we are going to be dragged into this thing.

Don't smile too long Elayna.
You too will be dragged into this game.

And sure enough,
I/we was/were.
I got Caralynn to help video the grand event.

Into the circle we go.....
arrrggghhhhh I can feel my back spasm(ing) already.  : )

Caralynn did a good job video taping.

Ready......set.......

Out already Jeannine..
bahahahaha
sorry about that.

Come on Joe....
Bring it Buddy!!!!!

Whew, avoided that one.

Joe's out....yahoo!!!!!

I'm rather having fun in this game.

hmmm,
maybe I should actually be paying attention to the person with the soccer ball and not the camera.
ok, time to refocus.

Yikes!

I managed to survive.

Hi there Jeannine.

More fun.  Sarah and Elayna in the game.

Great use of the boards Michelle.  I guess you can do that.

Oh, and here comes Dave.
JUST in time to not be doing the game.

Don't hit me....
PLEASE don't hit me.....
bahahahahaha.

I think that's my mouth.....
Who took THAT picture.
Gross.......

After gaga-ball it was on to our standard games.

I forget the names, but it involved someone shouting out things and the group having to do them.
Oh now I know. Its called the "Everything game." Looks like a group hug.

Cavaliers.

Hm dropping to the wet ground...

And sitting on people.

More group hugs.

Stuff like that.....

And DAVE was a judge.
Hilarious......

Ring around the rosy....
or maybe not.

Awe...nice picture.

More like Elayna's style here though.  : )

It's ok Sarah...breath....

Oh, back to that strange game.

That's really not lifting Carraugh you know Alexa.
But that's how you're supposed to do it.

Same for you Elayna.

Now THAT's a LIFT!

More group hugs.

After the official games were done, some went back to play some more gaga-ball.

Look out Kyle.

Basketball was also an option if you wanted to play.

Simon into the game.

Look out.....

Nice jump Chris.

This is what the game looks like.

Chris and some others took up a game of "21"

He shoots.......

Rebound.......

Lots of fun

Nice hair Jonathan.
You are definitely strange.

Time to rest before lunch.

Chili with cornbread.
I LOVE their cornbread.
I stalked up again, but not NEAR as much as last year.

After lunch it was time for horseback riding,
High Ropes,
Fidgets training time,
and free time.

This little pony is a lone ranger...you'll see why later.

The barn housing the horses

hmmmmmm, this trailer looks like it has seen better days.

Alexa and Carraugh getting ready for the ride.
I gave Jeannine the camera for this ride BTW, so it's not ME taking the pictures here.  FYI

Sarah ready to ride.
Christine...ready to walk.

Instruction time for the group.

Time to make friends with your horse.
Right Chris?

and Sarah

and Alexa

And William is whispering in this horse's ear.  Not sure what was said.  We will never know.

But they got along famously I heard.  : )

Michelle.

Carraugh.

Simon and Jonathan still waiting

Hey, that looks like a pony too.
Is it Caralynn?

Simon has a horse now.

and so does Jonathan.

IF you look at the rules on the post, I wonder how many rules Simon is breaking at the moment.  : )

Time to be rescued.

And they're off..... : )

Always riding on a predetermined trail.

Whoa...!

Nice scenery still.

Everything still good between William and his horse.

Hey Chris.

That's better.

There's that lone ranger pony....

Hey Sarah.
Enjoying the ride?

Looks like Alexa is.

And Christine is enjoying her walk with you all too.
Jeannine walked as well I think.

Cute.....

before you knew it, the ride was done.

I guess this pony worked too hard.  : )
Time for a rest and roll in the mud.

awe....cute picture.

Time to reminisce.

Well, it was a good ride while it lasted.
Time to go now.
Good-bye horsey (Jonathan would know its name)

Group shot.

Hey, Jonathan found a new friend.

THE FIDGETS took time with a group of people to do some training.

This group usually gets to interact in the evening concert time.

Waiting to go highroping.

Passing the time with lots of good games.

Nice smile Alexa.
Must be getting used to my picture taking.

Peter getting some work done while with us.
Glad to have him along.
He rather seems to enjoy tagging along with our youth lately.  : )

So that concludes part 2.
Make sure you find part 3 and finish off our great retreat weekend.
