Ottawa SERVE 2016 - Day 4 - Part 2: Work Sites and Trampolining

We carry on with Trampoline pictures.

I thought this series was neat.
John and Sarah timed this well.

Philippe LOVED trampolining.
And found new ways to do it.

Corbin's face almost matches his hair colour. :)

Sometimes help was required.  : )

Alex, what are you doing?

Senior's lounge.  : )

Another spin off of SERVE, and there are many, that I like to see is our volunteers from our church, and other churches, talk to each other. Some getting to know each other in ways they didn't before.
That's worth the effort all on it's own.

rest time.

sweaty face

another sweaty face.

Alex wiping his sweat.
Mark's such a nice guy.

Back at church again after showers.
Kitchen crew hard at work, as usual.

Today it was Salad and shepherd's pie.  Delicious.

Hey Phil.
Nice of you to drop by.  : )

Bill, stop that.

That's better.

Now he let's me.

Fellowshipping around the tables again.

Nicolette....smile.

Brianne loves the warm fuzzy table.

A lot of wisdom around this table.

Awe.
Corbin catching a few zzzzz's.
He's doing a great job.

Twins of the t-shirts.

Worship time after supper.

Christine's doing a great job leading this team to help us worship well.

Thanks Jacob for playing with us as well.

Tonight it's also Janika and Sarah.

John loves the drum.
And he's good at it.

Corbin is up to something tonight.  At least that's what I'm thinkin'

I'm not sure what these guys were doing up there.
They didn't do any actions to the songs. : )

So I went up and stood between them and captured this picture.

A nice view from the balcony.

Action songs are always loved.

Hey, Brianne is up there doing actions now too.
Neat.
We do find that some of our quieter ones come out of their shells as the week progresses.
We also find that some of our not so quite ones (including our Mentors) come also even more out of their shells.  :)

Hey, there's Superman (a.k.a. Super Ronnie) again.  I wonder what he's up to?

Sarah is in a skit with me today.
She has a gift for me.

It isn't shoes, and it isn't underwear

I wonder what it is....

She borrowed my phone booth of all things.

And Tada!
Her comicon costume.

hmmmmmm

and she had one for me too.

I told Marky Mark I had a real problem now.
They give a prize out for the worst costume, and I think Sarah was going to win it and I didn't want to go to Comicon with her dressed in a bag.
What would people think of me.

So Mark told me yet another story.  : )

There was this guy named Zacchaeus.

A short gentleman and a despised tax collector.

no one liked him.

But then Jesus showed up with a crowd

But Zacchaeus couldn't see Jesus so he climbed a tree

Jesus saw him and pointed to him and asked to come to his house.

Zacchaeus was overjoyed.

But the crowd wasn't and they left him.

Jesus went to Zacchaeus' home.

And he decided to give all his stolen money back to the poor.

It was a good day for Zacchaeus.

Superman got the message and called up Sarah and said he would go to comicon with her as her bag prince.

Closing worship time

Francine found our streamers.

More actions.

Even the kids are into it....well sort of.  : )

and we end the day with craft time.

Tracing their pictures onto another picture and making a collage.

First instruction time.

Oh, and then there's Melanie.
She's having fun again.

Time for your daily picture.
A nice one.

One showing your special lanyard.

And then one just for fun.  : )

Joanna has been helping out each day with crafts.
Thanks Joanna.

Time to trace the picture

Then put different pictures on the picture

Lots of busy and good work.

You get an idea of what they are doing here.

We end our blog time with this great picture.
Three generations pictured here, all helping to make this SERVE yet another great one.
I love it when we can minister together intergenerationally.  It's the way ministry was meant to be in my books.

Alright.
Time for shower and off to bed.
Till tomorrow.
