WE Event

WE Event

Calvin loves it's fellowship times.
We meet several times a year and have potlucks together and great fellowship.

Cathy has been doing a leadership course over the past years, and part of that for her has been a requirement to plan and lead events.

In May, to help Cathy fulfill that leadership requirment, Calvin held an intergenerational event celebrating what it meant to be part of God's family -
A WE event.

We [no pun intended] gathered in the fellowship hall of Calvin.
Here is Daniel, part of Calvin's family.  : )

As we entered the church Leo greeted us and gave us instructions.

We gathered around tables, and the socializing began.

The idea was to be at tables sorted by birthday.

Here is the whole group, sitting and ready to go.

Cathy led us off in devotions, and singing, and then we ate our meal.

I always love pot luck dinners at Calvin.

Always great food, and I get to try things I might not normally try.

Here's everyone enjoying their meal together, and getting to know each other better too.

After the meal was over Cathy led us through some things to do together as tables.

We spent time talking together at our tables and then it was time for dessert, and soon time to head home.

Thanks for all the planning you did Cathy.
The event turned out great.

Until the next time we gather together for a potluck meal...I can hardly wait.  : )
