CIA/ETM Finale TACO night and Catechism and.....CHOCOLATE!!!!!

Tuesday, May 27th.
Our final TACO and Catechism night.

The youth room before everyone comes in.
I like to come here a bit early sometimes to pray and enjoy the quiet.
It is strange in the quiet though....
as I do like the noise of a full youth room.  : )

Miranda, Laura and Olivia.
Waiting for things to get rolling.

hmmm...someone got hold of the camera didn't they.
Not so sure I like this picture...but hey..I put it in here.

After our TACO night was over, and Catechism class completed, some of the group went to the kitchen to put together something that I've been looking forward to for a great many weeks.
CHOCOLATE.
Karen, Ryan's mom, emailed me some time ago offering to set up a a chocolate fountain with fruits of various kinds to dip into the chocolate.
"WONDERFUL!" I said!  : )
Here are Sarah and Olivia pouring in the chocolate.

Another cup full.

Time to turn on the fountain and see if it works....

Tada!
It worked.
We weren't sure it was going to.
Whew!

Doesn't that look..
well words can't describe it. : )

The final bowl of chocolate.

A really neat invention.

I guess since Sarah and Olivia put it together they should have the first crack at dipping.

The group awaiting their turn at the fountain.

What fruit to pick?
That is the question.

Once that's decided, the rest is EASY PEASY!

Don't take too much now Lucy and Carraugh.

They just kept coming.....

I think we should do this every week.....
what....!!

Chocolate brownie dipped in chocolate....
I figured Christine would try that.  : )

Cheryl and Jeannine filling up....

Jeannine and Janine.
Nice facial expression.

Finally, some guys in the line up...oh right..
I let the girls go first.  tee hee.

Joey taste tested pretty much everything.

Hey there Alexa.
Seemed the only picture I could get of her.
She's VERY camera shy. : )

Simon and Eric deciding on what to dip.

Ben...you can take as much as you want now.
SWEET!  (pun intended).

Things are starting to get messy.

Round #2.

After everyone had their fill it was time to clean up....
though I think Olivia is licking the fountain...gross!

Mel is really getting into things.

Now, as I mentioned earlier, the chocolate fountain was provided by Ryan and his mom.

You may have noted that they weren't in any pictures.
That's because at our opening time we played a game outside, and during that game Kevin's head made contact with Ryan's knee.
Ryan's knee ended up on the losing end of things, unfortunately.
Ryan and mom spent from about 8 pm to very early in the morning in the hospital.
Here's the end result.

I visited Ryan a couple of days later.
He was in a knee brace, but this was only temporary as you will see when you go the the TACO blog entry.
There you will find out what Ryan has had to endure.

Aside from Ryan's mishap, it was a good night...and the chocolate fountain becomes a good rival for Cheryl's amazing snacks too.  I love competitions like this.

Here's to looking forward to next year's snacks!  : )

Thanks to ALL the families that provided snacks throughout the year.   We now conclude our CIA/ETM meetings for the season.
