Peru Team Pancake Breakfast - Part 2

....and Part 2 begins...

and what do you know.
It's ME again.
Sorry about that....well, maybe not! : )

ok, back to the real reason for this blog post.
Pancakes.
People have arrived and it's time to become good hosts.

Things started off quietly.
A few people trickling in.
But we KNOW it will get crazy soon!

Lucy was once again our designated whipped cream dispenser.  People love the whipped cream.

Hey Bonnie.  Enjoy!

This girl is enjoying.

Hey look...over there.....!!!
Gotcha!

Hi Andy.
Hope you enjoy the breakfast.

Why is Samantha sitting there
with a spatula in her hand...sigh!

Jason is in the building.

Miranda showing the skill of pancake flipping.

Nice job.

People have now begun to arrive in earnest.

And the kitchen is now a serious place....
I'm staying OUT! : )

Ben the batter boy...

...maybe he's mixed one too many bowls.
Hmmmmmm!

Whew...he's back at it.

The fellowship hall is filling up.

People are fellowshipping.

What's going on Wilma...????

The place is full.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Looks yummy!

Hey Al.
Thanks for Coming.

She doesn't look too happy.

The coffee is ready....whew!

The place is packed.  Yahoo!

Anika has become the designated whipped cream maker.

Hey James... looks like you have enjoyed
 the food and fellowship.

Diane.
A faithful supporter, and lover of good pancakes too.

Simon.  Think good thoughts.
Dishwashing isn't really that bad!

Hello Brian and Ruth.

Hey, David. You came.
You need to wake up though.

Colin.  Faithful Colin.
He and I have the distinction of having gone on
all the Peru trips so far.
He just loves it.  : )

Dishwasher eyes.

Smiling eyes.

Time to reset for the next set of guests.

Why am I smiling...I have NO idea.
Is Cindy eavesdropping...
I have no idea.

Gord.  Welcome.

Ben...again.

Hey, where did Simon GOOOOOOO!!!!

Ben....again.

This is the way we clean up, clean up.

Time for some social time for Colin and Ryan...

...and others too.

Some shots of happy faces.
Christopher took them....

...or maybe he didn't....hmmmm

Lucy on whipped cream duty.
I'm doing quality control checks
to make sure she's friendly, etc.

Cindy going above and beyond the call of duty.
I like that initiative.  : )

Time for round two...
...and the party of 13.

Here they come!

Time to reset and regroup.

Someone wants whipped cream.

Cute.

Hey Sid.
Thanks for stopping by.

Lucy did a GREAT job BTW.

Laurence.....nice to see you and your family out as well.
Part of the Sid party I presume.

Ben...still being....Ben!

Love that REAL Syrup.

Pancake # 300 and 301

Hey Harold.  Welcome to you too.

Cindy hard at work.
The espresso machine was a HIT!
We'll have to have you back again next year Cindy.

Ben....AGAIN!!!!!!!

Laura working hard....

...and Laura's family...eating.

Gotta watch that pan.
It gets quite hot.

This kitchen is still in one piece.

How could it not be with John in charge.  : )

The second sitting well under way.
Packed again..... can you say $$$$$  : )

I became a paying customer, but it also seems
I became something more.

Colin up to his tricks again.

No, that is not shaving cream.

It is whipped cream.

Now I love a good joke, so I played along.
Hey, Joycegina...you aren't even noticing all the fun
 Colin and I are having.

I decided I couldn't let this go...

...I got even right then and there.

Whipped cream doesn't taste as good once it's been on your face.  Trust me on that one.

All in good fun.

Time to clean up now.

Seems I missed some spots.

Now leave me alone so I can eat!!!!

Finally, some quiet time.  : )

Hey George.
I see our welcoming group is doing its job...
...donation envelope in hand.

GREAT job ladies.

Nice to see you Jonathan.
Thanks for parting your hair
so we could see your eyes for a change.

Hey Jacob.

I have no words to say to you right now Colin.

Nice smile Miranda.
Things must be going well in the kitchen.

Jacob waiting for his food.

Soon people were fed and it was our turn to eat.

A well earned meal.

Some people don't want to leave.

I see Lucy is still on whipped cream duty.
Way to go Lucy.

Hey, what happened to that smile Mikayla?

That's better.

Yummy!

John finally taking a rest and eating the fruits of his labour (pun intended).

Enjoy John.

And so we come to the end of another successful
Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser.
Thanks John for being willing to be part of this event again. It's always a great success because of your involvement.

Thanks to all the Peru Team who did such a great job
and worked so hard.

And thanks to all who came out for the morning.
Great food, great fellowship, and we managed to raise just over $2000 for those going to Peru.  Yahoo!  : )
