Calvin Youth Group Camping - Achray P.P. - Sept 2016 - Part 2

PART 2. 

Some of our group hiked a bit further down from where we were to see the larger waterfall.  
I've never been to these falls.  

But it looks quite nice.  

Ben, what are you doing??? 

Hope that didn't hurt.  

Caralynn is learning to fly.  : ) 

We who hiked arrived back first. 
Some took up soccer, ish to pass the time.  

Others of us waited for the canoes to arrive. 
The sun was warm and inviting and I got a chance to chat with Alexa. 
Always a pleasure to do.  

Here they come.  

The sand was warm too. 

After arriving back it was time for supper.  
Spaghetti with sauce and meat, and veggies.  
Lucy wanted to open the cans of sauce, but her mom seems to have beaten her to it.  :) 

Now she gets her chance.  

Lauren gets vegetable detail.  

Everyone hard at work....except Rhys....hmmmm

Oh, that's because he needed some first aid. 
Cut his big toe apparently.  Peter to the rescue. 

Most of our veggies done. 
They all went too.  

Dinner is served.  

Eventually it was camp fire time again, as it was once again getting COLD. Went down to 0 degrees that night. 
Ben kept the group entertained with his story telling. 
Seems he can tell a story for literally hours on end, and hold this groups attention too. 
Fascinating.  : )

After another cold night it was time to warm up by the campfire again.

So this morning we are going to be having pancakes. 
Caralynn offered to make the batter. 
She is the BEST pancake batter maker EVER. 
Just wanted you all to know that.  : ) 

Once again the sun was a natural warmer.  

I brought real maple syrup, and that fake stuff for those who don't like the real stuff.  How could you not like real syrup, Katrina?  I don't get it!

The dishes eventually become one large mess during the week, and when we leave we take the time to figure out whose dishes are whose.  

The group was pretty hungry this morning.

A happy and patient bunch... sort of.  

Ben woke up.  Finally.  :) 

Thanks for your great talent in being the BEST batter maker in the WORLD, Caralynn.

We ended our morning time with church on the beach.

It was a great day for church in the park.
