Calvin Church Camping - August 2016

On August 26 - 28, several members of Calvin went camping once again at Lac Philippe in Quebec.
Every year we have a slightly different group, but it's always fun.

Wilma and Donna Lee came once again.
Here's Wilma setting up her trailer.

Andy and Diane arrived early (what else is new)
and set up pretty quickly.

Lena and Corbin blowing up the air mattresses they'll be using in their tent.

Nathan and Margaret set up and ready to go.
No tent this year.  : )

We were at site #3 this time.  A larger open site that allowed tent trailers on it.  Here we are mostly set up now.

Our corner.

We had Walter and Ineke join us this year too.

Once again Diane didn't share her meal with me.
I'm hurt.  : )

Nathan chilling and answering questions from his children.

The weekend is pretty informal.
Do what you want.
Seemed lots of reading was wanted this weekend.

Diane brought along Ladder Golf.
A much harder game than it seems.

Emma and Liam playing baseball.

Many games of ladder golf were played.

Peter and Yvonne joined us this year as well.
Their dining tent was much bigger than their sleeping tent.  : )

Liam and Emma exploring.

Emma hiding.
She did that a lot.
Trying to avoid me taking her picture.

Liam didn't seem to care.  : )

I see the ladder golf had another purpose as well. : )

Breakfast time.

It was a very nice weekend weather wise.

This trailer is a museum piece.
It's so light, Walter can move it by himself.

Good morning, Wilma.

Time for some games after breakfast.

Some shade from the sun.

Hey, I got Emma in a picture.  : )

I think this is a better use of ladder golf.  : )

Yes, even I read this weekend.
A John Grisham book.

(My daughter was proud).

Doug and Louise joined us for the day as well.

We did spend time at the beach, but no pictures this year.
A nice set up you have Walter and Ineke.

I again tried to get some food from Diane, but to no avail.

Ah, ladder golf is back.

Where oh where did Emma go?

There she is.

Corbin on his perch.
That van and trailer are no longer in the possession of Andy and Diane, so not sure if we will see them next year.
Sigh.

Time for a fire.

Fire seems to bring the people out.
I hope they aren't zombies or something like that.  : )

We enjoyed two great evenings around the camp fire.

We did miss our pyromaniac, Bill, but Wilma did a great job in his place.

Some fire pictures.

And before we knew it, it was time to begin packing up.
Liam and Emma decided to pay us a visit and watch.

Liam talked non-stop (reminded me of myself at his age) and Emma, well, she was busy with a game of some sort.

They had a great weekend and I got to know them much better.  That was fun.

Hey, where did Emma go?

All in all it was a great weekend of getting to know people from Calvin a little better.  Next year we will host again, and see who shows up...................
