CIA Youth Group - Final Mentor/Mentee TACO night

On May 24th our grade 9 - 12's gathered once again for our final TACO night of the year.
For those of you new to this blog TACO stands for
"Take A CIA member OUT".

We gather once a month as mentors / mentees and share life together.

On the last TACO night of the year we actually share a TACO meal together.

The group gathered awaiting their food,
rather impatiently as I recall.

Just about time to start.

Finally, able to eat.

Not much left.

Meat...always necessary.  : )

Once the meal was over, we went around the table and each mentor and mentee shared how their year had gone.  For the newer pairings it was a time to get to know each other and set up for next year.
For our more seasoned pairings, like Kyle and Derek, much deeper conversations happen.
This is our third year of our mentor/mentee ministry and I think it's finally starting to catch on.
Lots of neat things going relationally on that I'm not even aware of.

I hope this continues for years to come.
Thanks mentors for being willing to give of yourselves and invest in the lives of our youth.
