The Big Give - June 2, 2018

This Past June 2nd Calvin joined with 130 other churches in Ottawa, and Ontario, for another BIG GIVE.
If you've read previous posts from me you will know that this is a day in which churches all over the place open their doors and parking lots on the same day and give things away to the general public.

We had another great weather day.
Donations always come in the week before and accumulate in our fellowship hall.

The end result.
I'm always amazed at what we receive each year.

Saturday morning we began set up at 8 a.m.

Prayer tent

Eventual music tent

Lucy, being....Lucy.  : )

It's always brisk at the beginning.
Lots for people to just take home and be blessed by.

Craft/Card making area.

Jenga!

Waiting for people who may wish to come and pray.

We had our car wash once again.

Always a busy place, and it brings in people.

Jeremy selecting songs to play....from his phone I think? : )

More cars.

Our eating/socializing area.

Jenga was played throughout the day.

Sandy getting the BBQ's ready.

He's a happy BBQ'r

Martin is too.

Careful Lena.

John playing jazz.

The cars just keep coming.

Apparently Lena did it.
Whoot!

Andy, same tactic as last year.
A good, but maybe not so safe?, way to get at those higher roofs?

Yes Sam, you are doing a good job too.  : )

Team work.  : )

Oh, Nicolette joined us too.
Way to go Nicolette.  : )

I think we washed more than 50 cars this year.

Nice to see Jenga used so much.

A great way to meet new people.

Another great way to meet new people is via food.

Corbin trying to get cars for the car wash.

A beautiful day to bless anyone.

Card making area was busy much of the day too.

A new way to use Jenga this year.  : )

Oh, and our bike repair place was busy most of the day too.  That always amazes me.
And there's always Calvin people ready to watch others work.  Right David and Phil?

All in all a wonderful day of meeting and blessing new people.  Until next year.
