Care Package Preparation - Year 3?

On February 14 (a week delayed because we seem to have snow days on Tuesday's here in Ottawa and I keep having to cancel Youth Group) we gathered together in the basement of Calvin CRC to once again bless College/University Students. 

This is our Third year (I think) of preparing care packages for distribution. 

We did 30 the first year, 60 last year and 100 was the goal this year, but we ended up doing 114.  

 The care packages include a card, hand made.  

Lots of boxes ready to be filled. 

Lots of items to be sorted through 

I asked the congregation to help us with donations this year and they came through so well.

We also wrap the packages and personally decorate them.   

Zoe had to cut a lot of paper.

This group had lots of fun making the cards. 

We never know who is going to be blessed/touched by what we do, but we do it in the hope that joy and comfort and thanksgiving comes when they are received.

FINALLY 

Completed 114 care packages. 

80 went to Sid's group at OttawaU.  

The rest went to various out of town students from Calvin and our own Young Adult group here in Calvin. 

THANK YOU to Calvin's youth group for helping once again, and to all who donated items for the care packages. 

We are blessed to be a blessing.
