ETM Weekend of Fun

We are experiencing an extended long weekend this weekend. Friday - Monday the kids at the Christian Schools have off. What better time than this weekend than to take some kids away from their parents and let the Youth Pastor deal with them. : ) I was graciously given 20 Ottawa 67's tickets a bit ago and we were planning on having a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser, and we like to do all niter's once in a while, so thought, "Why not combine all three!" That is what we are presently in the middle of. It's 2:15 am at the time of writing this section of the blog entry. Sixteen YP and 4 adults enjoyed a great 67's game. They even won! : ) We had our very own cheer leading section. Hannah, Leah, and Megan were VERY loud and exuberant during our game (to the point they annoyed some other fans). They were on a learning curve for hockey fan behavior, and they failed miserably. Once back at the church, we decided on what movies to watch, which is the standard fare at an all-niter. It seems we had differences of opinion, so we presently have 3 different movies playing (sorry, we had three, now we are down to two). Most of the girls watched a chick flick, some of the boys watched a thriller, and Ben and Jonah, well, they are Star Wars fans, so I set up a separate movie venue just for them. They are presently getting sleepy and soon will be in dreamland. They better be as they will be up at 6:00 am to get ready for the pancake breakfast. I understand John has been slaving away at home getting his secret recipes ready for this morning. I can hardly wait.
