Various Events - Fellowship Games - - Quilts - YP/YA/Seniors lunch & Games

Here are some events and things that have gone on at Calvin over the past weeks before self-isolation took effect.

On Sunday, February 16th Calvin held a potluck lunch and games time.

We never know how many will show up for these events, but we had a pretty good turnout.

As always the food was great.

And the fellowship is always good too.

Once lunch was done, it was time for games.
Dutch Blitz.

And four-person chess.
That just confuses me.  : )

And another game that I have no idea about.  But this group looks like there are having fun : )

Lots of fun had by those who attended.

Our Quilting group makes quilts for a home that provides safety for women and children who are being abused and to work with other groups and individuals toward ending violence against all women.

They do a wonderful job and the make some amazing quilts.  This one is my favourite.

Have a look at all the other great quilts.

Representatives of the home came to pick them up.

They are always so happy to receive these.

They will be appreciated by all who get them.
A great act of outreach from a great group of people who make quilts every other Tuesday here at Calvin.

On Sunday, March 8 we held a time of food and games for our "Mature" fold and youth and young adults.

Many people came out.

Before we ate, I held a time of Q & A for everyone.

I gave 3 minutes to go through a series of getting to know you questions and then persons would switch and ask the same questions to another person.

Good and lively discussion took place.

We did this for about 10 minutes.  Time went fast.

Then time for food.
And the food was good again. : )

Once lunch was finished, people brought out the games.

Oh, there's that 4 person chess game.
Josh just loves chess  :)

A great time was had by all.
We hope to do this again in October when things hopefully have settled down in our world.
