All Nighter - C.I.A.

Once in a while our youth group likes to simply hang out and spend time together. We do that in many ways, one of them being all night events. We gather at the church, and play games, watch movies, eat food and try to stay up all night. We did this this past Friday night with our grade 9 and 10's. Our evening began at 9:30 pm. Hannah pulled out the cards and we once again were "priviledged" to do a game that involved animal noises. It seems that Hannah LOVES animal noises. Every game we've played this year has had animals as the theme. We are going to have to get her off of that soon or I'm going to go ape! : )
Here is some of the group listening to instructions from Janine.
The other half isn't. : ) Hannah seems to be laughing at something/someone and Janine is about to express herself in a way I haven't seen in a long time......
Nice face Janine. : )
After our card games, we settled down for some movies. The first was a golden oldie, black and white entitled "It happened one night!" Now, I've got to say, that as far as all nighters go, this one was like no other I've experienced in a while. Normally we watch a thriller, or suspense drama, but not a classic oldie. The plot was nominal, and the acting substandard for me. The title should have been "It happened over several nights" as the events were over more than one night. Or maybe it should have been "What happened?" because I didn't get what was supposed to have happened during that one night......
If you look really close, you'll see that Joy looks frightened. Not sure why. This movie didn't have a frightening scene in it.
After that movie the group took a break. Here are David and Chris playing the drums....well, Chris is playing, David looks like he holding himself up. Getting tired David?
After a break we watched another movie. The "Hannah Montana" movie. Another movie that surprised me. David and Chris seemed to know all the lines in the movie.....hmmmm : ) Another break after the movie meant cooking muffins and making juice. Here's Leah and Megan making the juice. The muffins were REALLY good!!
Janine getting comfortable on our "Classic Couch." She actually got 6 hours of sleep that night.
The final movie was 'Transformers #2." Two and a half hours long, and it certainly dragged on. Chris had the volume turned way up so it was hard to get some sleep. The movie ended at 5:30 am and the group settled down for a good 2 hours sleep.
My alarm went off at 7:30 am and I took some pictures of the sleepy heads. Take a good look at Chris....that pose looks quite painful. Seems that Hannah only wanted to stay warm on the upper portion of her body.
Here is David sleeping. Nice pose David. : )
I took this picture just before I put the lights on and received a chorus of boos and yelling.....
We left church at 8:10 am and everyone was off to sleep at home, or do other things.
A good night of fun, strange movies, and good food.
We'll do another in January
Below is a brief video that describes some of the noises of our animal card game.
